Next to the player's name and score every user has a rank. Upon entering ranked mode, players are matched with other users with a similar rank, to provide a fair competition on all skill levels. If there are not enough players in a certain range to fill up a room, they will be sent to a lower rank room. The speed penalty limit is also present, contrarily to what the tooltip shown upon entering a ranked room says - But the upper cap is 20%. The rank changes as follows:
- +1 if the player kills a player in the round.
- -1 if the rank of the player's killer is less than the player's rank + 1000.
- -0.5 for each suicide.
